- Same shape, different mood: dropped
We don’t draw this part. Only how far the past matches moved, either way.
You already read charts. Here’s the part they leave out.
You spot a setup forming. You know the stock, the levels, the volume. Then comes the question that decides how big a position you take and where the stop goes:
The last time this chart looked like this, what actually happened next?
Not what someone on a channel says it will do. What this stock did, every time, across its own daily history. That record exists. TrendDrishti puts it in front of you.
Your indicators measure the moment. We measure the history.
What happens when you tap Run Scan?
The study a quant desk runs before it trusts a setup, run end to end on our servers for the one stock you pick. It works in the background, so you are never stuck watching a spinner.
Start from today’s chart.
You pick a stock and a horizon: the next week, month or quarter. The engine takes the shape the chart has drawn up to today.
Check it against the whole history.
That shape is compared with every stretch of the stock’s daily history. Not a sample, not the last few years. All of it, on every scan.
Throw out a different market mood.
A calm drift and a panic can draw the same line. Matches from very different market conditions are dropped, however alike they look.
Keep the closest, never overlapping.
Up to 15 past matches survive, each its own stretch of time, so one rally is never counted as three pieces of evidence.
Read what followed each one.
How far the stock moved next and how deep it dipped, after every match, the good ones and the bad ones. Laid over today, they make a range, either way.
What will a report tell me?
The four things you would want to know before sizing a position, answered from the stock’s own past. In plain English, with every match listed underneath.
How far could it move?
The typical size of the swing after past setups like today’s, in either direction, as a percentage and in rupees on the amount you choose.
Is that a lot, for this stock?
A swing that is quiet for one stock is wild for another. Every report compares the move with the stock’s own normal, not with the market.
How bad did it get?
The worst any past match fell, and how deep the dips usually ran along the way. It is history, and it is what you size a position against.
Which way will it go?
Only if history actually points somewhere. When the past matches split, the report says so plainly instead of picking a side.
Often, no strong hint either way. The report says so.
When we don’t know,we say so.
Every tip channel sounds sure. We would rather show you the losing matches next to the winning ones, flag thin evidence as thin, and say “no strong hint” when that is the honest answer.
Every report keeps the matches that went the wrong way. A history of only winners isn’t history.
Built the way a quant desk tests a model.
Validated, not assumed
Walk-forward tested, out of sample, on real Indian market data, with no look-ahead bias and against a naive baseline: the way a quant desk tests a model before trusting it.
Deterministic, not a black box
Nothing is trained to guess. The same stock on the same day gives the same matches and the same figures, every time.
Honest about thin evidence
When a stock’s history doesn’t hold enough close matches, the report says the evidence is insufficient instead of stretching weak matches into a result.

What does a scan actually do?
Pick any Indian stock and a horizon. The engine searches that stock’s full daily history for the stretches that looked most like today’s chart, drops the ones from very different market conditions, and shows how far the stock moved next, the worst it fell, and every match, good and bad. It never tells you what to buy.
Which stocks can I scan?
Any stock listed on the NSE today. BSE stocks are coming soon.
What data does it use?
Daily end-of-day prices for Indian equities. No intraday ticks, no F&O data and no fundamentals. History length varies by stock: large caps go back decades, newer listings have far less, and the report says how old its matches are.
How is this different from my indicators?
Your indicators measure the moment. TrendDrishti measures the history: what this stock did the last times its chart had this shape, in similar market conditions. Use it alongside what you already do.
Is this a tip or a recommendation?
No. TrendDrishti shows historical price statistics and never tells you what to buy or sell. It is not financial advice, and TrendDrishti is not registered with SEBI.
Do I need an invite?
No. The app is a free download on Google Play, and anyone can sign in. The daily Movement list is free for every signed-in user. Running a full scan on a stock you choose uses credits.
When is the iPhone app coming?
Soon. Tap the App Store badge, leave your email and phone number, and we’ll tell you the day it’s on the App Store.
How do credits work?
One scan uses one credit, whatever the horizon: a week, a month or a quarter. The monthly subscription includes 30 credits per billing cycle, and you can top up inside the app.
What if a scan fails?
You only pay for scans that finish. If one fails on our side, the credit goes straight back to your balance.
